Ren LaForme is the Managing Editor of Poynter.org. He was previously Poynter's digital tools reporter, chronicling tools and technology for journalists, and a producer for News University, Poynter's e-learning team. Ren has a master's degree in journalism and media studies from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University at Buffalo. He grew up in and around the hamlet of Gasport, New York, about 45 minutes northwest of Buffalo. He lives in St. Petersburg, Florida, with his wife Keeley and dog Finn.
